When it comes to building there is a raft of legislation and regulation that you need to know about and how this might impact on your project.
The Building Act 2004, and the Resource Management Act 1991, are a couple of obvious rule books that will apply on some way.
There are many other restrictions that are related to, or are direct off-shoots of these complex pieces of legislation, and some of the requirements can be contradictory. This is the legal minefield that needs to be traversed.
How well do you know this environment?
